Having a niche website in the hope of earning an income is huge today thanks to programs like Adsense and affiliate programs such as Amazon that allow you to make money through advertising on your website.
The secret to earning these commissions is to construct, or have one built for you, a website that is tightly focused and aiming at one particular group of people. Concentrating on a certain niche can be both rewarding and satisfying when the dollars start to come in.
So what niches are profitable? Well, any niche that helps to solve a problem that a consumer has is a perfect niche. Now this covers a wide array of subjects but once you get really tight in a niche you will see results.
For example, Health is a popular subject but if we take it further we can concentrate on seniors health then be more specific and have a website about symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome etc for baby boomers. The ideas are endless.
For the ladies, why not a niche site on perfume and more specifically, a perfume atomizer. This is huge business today with millions of ladies purchasing products to make them smell good.
A niche that I tripped over recently was an online job directory. I was simply looking for jobs in my area and thought that it would be neat to have such a resource available for my area. Millions of people search for jobs every day so it must be a winner for you.
