Once your family dog starts biting, gnarling or expressing aggressive and frightening behavior, the likelihood is, you may have a dangerously rabid dog. Never the less it is not necessary to do something right away.
Dogs, whatever their breed, will definitely have the leaning to bite, or show hostility, in certain situations, like, having to face a stranger, or placed along with another canine. So, how do you know whether your dog is dangerously aggressive?
Some owners do not accept that their animals are violent, due to monetary, or number of other reasons. A few may even dismiss it, and consider it as a self preservation reaction, against a perceived threat. Some feel that their pets will grow out of it eventually. Sadly, if the problem is not dealt with promptly, it can certainly present a potential hazard to your family members and vicinity.
The most visible signals include snapping, gnarling, mounting people or animals, biting, curling of lips, lunging, incessant barking and blocking your path. Quite a few rabid pups usually do not show this conduct all the time.
Territorial tendencies. Whilst this manner of behavior is great when you are searching for a guard dog, it could spell disaster while you are walking this canine around your vicinity, and will be deadly around your children.
Propensities to be over-possessive. Violent dogs are predisposed to be extra protective over their items, whether it is their owner, their food or their toys. They will snap and snarl at anyone that attempts to come close to them.
Unprovoked attacks on everything that moves, humans included.
Getting upset or gnarling when handled or fondled. Dogs will be cranky in the event they are in pain, however violent dogs will snarl, bite, growl or snap at anyone who cuddles them or makes an attempt to touch them.
Efforts to escape from home and prowl the streets.
Once you think your dog exhibits any of these potentially aggressive behavior, you will have to deal with this issue at once.
Most people who have any knowledge on training dogs would readily agree that aggressive dog training is the most reliable procedure to prevent dog violence, but, planning to administer aggressive dog training whilst not having proper knowledge, or with no guidance, by a pro, can be risky.. You may also have to cart your dog off to the veterinarian first, for the required medication that will be of a help in aggressive dog training.
